I wonder how much of it is due to the fact cash held in most brokerage accounts is held in money market funds. In other words, if someone sells stock, it automatically goes into money market funds, which almost automatically goes into treasury funds.

IMO, it's less a conscious decision to invest in treasuries because they're a "safe haven", than it is an automatic process investors might give more consideration to if they really thought about it.

The closing prices now in--volume was so heavy, the closing at the bell NOT accurate.
(ROUNDED) DOW down -777 to 10365. SPX down -109points to 1107
