I think he should have raised the once-in-a-lifetime exclusion to about 400k and indexed that to inflation. It is, after all, the one inflation hedge most people use.

He want too far, but not that much further for that significant majority of Americans. Of all the people you know, how many own more that 1 home? I don't know a single one out of a few hundred.

Clinton made a big mistake NOT to veto the bill!

Clinton was in no position to assert any leadership at that time.

If one recalls, he was being tried for blowjobs at the time and faced the very real possibility of being removed from office on the most ridiculous set of charges ever to be dreamed up by a group of scheming assholes, who now celebrate the presidency of a moron who will remembered as the worst president in American history.

The Republican brand deserves the death it will no doubt suffer very soon.
