I've been out of touch for 10 days...The Charlotte NC papers are worse than our Seattle Times, and that's saying something. The group I was with basically didn't want to watch much "news" because it was "too political" and "what can I do about it anyway?"......They were all much more interested in football games, and the Ryder Cup...and fun....I did insist that I watch the Debate...which shamed most of them into doing that too..... So I missed the whole ACORN addition to this house bailout bill..... WHO put that in? I see that it's out now... Unbelievable that anyone would even dare to add it.... I did read that before McCain came back to DC last weekend there were only 4 votes for the House Bill....when he left and after the changes, there were 66 Repub votes..... Sooooooooooooo.....the Dems have some 'splaining to do ... In all sorts of ways. If the Repubs were smart, they would start running ads using some of the Dems words over the last years on approving all the Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac misdeeds, fraud and crimes.
