>>Curlton: Unlike the author of the suspect post...NIKON has a
degree of integrity. Something the writer has yet to display.
Soon we should hear from the specialist. I am certain he has a
"special" message regarding the alleged Smith Barney "blip".<<

FWIW, here's the latest and greatest from the AOL CYMI board concerning Smith Barney. Someone with Bloomberg or a SB account should be able to get to the bottom of this in the morning. Please don't shoot the messenger. I am only passing on what I have found, as was Scott, as was, I suspect MrGriffin. I think the shorts are a little more sophisticated about spreading rumors, than to do it when the market is closed and the rumors can be verified before the market opens. BTW, SB is rated 5 out of 8 in stock research by Smart Money this month. Anyway here is the CYMI post:

>>All,

The Smith Barney report posted by GriffinMrX is genuine. After seeing the post, I was able to locate the report on a Bloomberg machine at work. Whether the Smith Barney analyst is accurate in his statements I cannot say. This is the same Smith Barney analyst who reported "problems" with Cymer lasers around the second week of September. This caused Cymer stock to tank on September 12 right after the split. That day a press release was issued with both Cymer and Nikon management denying there were problems with Cymer lasers that were causing delays at Nikon. In any case Griffin has posted information that was written by a Smith Barney analyst. <<
