As for USD, not only I have taken a bath over time in the US stocks but USD about 5-6 years ago was worth around 1.55 CAD.. Now it is near parity and briefly earlier in the year was worth less then CAD although that did not last.. Longer term USD will continue to be weak until there is some signs that deficits will be under control.. Not going to happen..

Of course near term, who knows how all of this plays out.. Every country's numbers are about to crap out big time if economy derails or 'credit' and loans are hard to get..
