This whole deal is now de facto on ice until after the election IMO. Then the new president - Obama in the plans of Pelosi and her partisans - can take the credit for 'solving' the crisis. Just too bad if that plan back fires and thus extends same pending credit to McCain on a platter. Taro

It isn't like Pelosi isn't above milking something like this. I doubt it, though. Who would have dreamed that the Republicans would so willingly hand over their head? I agree......I don't think she saw it coming. And its her ass on the line today. If she doesn't turn things around, it could be her ass....esp if Obama gets elected.
