Try it now, while the supply is still good. I'm gonna get a couple dozen ears this afternoon because they won't be available much longer. The only difference I saw in the frozen ears was that they weren't quite as "crisp" as the fresh ones. The flavor was about the same, as near as I could tell. The last ones I had were some 8 or 9 months old.
