I don't disagree. This trickle down crap is the biggest hoax sold to the American people. What's most remarkable are the numbers of people who defend it but don't benefit from it.

So drastically reduce private savings and investment and follow a purely Keynesian theory of economics where everyone's means to living ultimately comes from the government?

I love it when people these days declare the end of the "ownership society" because of the current financial crisis, as if neo-socialism is such a proven recipe for success. You might as well give up your portfolio, your 401k, and even your home and your car and just entrust the government to own it all ... comrade.
