Paper market must be bigger than bullion. A real bite in the ass.

Why don't some of these mining companies like Goldcorp just start selling directly to consumers?

>>They are cleaned out. HTF can paper gold stay down here?<<

Manipulation. Someone's shorting futures big time, even as shelves empty (in fact it probably speeds up emptying the shelves since the prices are pushed down). Even more so with silver.

comrade ork of the golden brotherhood (yea, yea sisterhood too<g>),

We have a president above the law, a fed head that thinks every rule should be gamed to hide his printing, a treasury sec that is absolutely one of the biggest scumbag criminals to ever walk the earth, markets that are managed daily by a secret plunge protection team, a clowngress that cares only about reelection and will spend us into oblivion (unless there is an election real soon), and an economy that doesn't make as much stuff as it consumes, and now our engineered financial products are known by the world for the toxic ponzi trash they really are.

Not to mention reams of fabricated <official> data that tell me things are not so bad and my expectations about inflation are improving, all while I"m paying a lot more for stuff I need. And this is just the short list. Let us not forget debt, deficits, and the need for foreign vendor financing to keep the whole game running.

And we think that these people are not motivated and empowered to hold down a tiny market like gold?

I say that the rule is that they will not allow 4 digit gold and each time we hit 920, something will just happen to smack us down.

With the chaos in the financial markets we have had since March, is it even possible that POG is not a grand? How is that possible?

This story impresses the hell out of me, cause I'm a dog lover. I once tried to save my wheaten from a 120 pound bouvier by punching it in the head twice. Didn't do a damn thing to that monster and I can throw a pretty decent sucker punch. This dood is amazing.

If anybody seriously wants a physical gold fix at close to spot, do a search for gold grain. (In other words buy some industrial gold.) It might be a bit of pain to get rid of when the time is right, but it also might be the best way to acquire physical at the moment. IMHO worth a look...
