I notice you don't have a counter argument. The blame lies in the now-disproven Republican philosophy that deregulated markets are best for America. That theory has been proven to be false. We need to introduce new regulation to make sure that corporations and big shots don't continue to screw the nation, and land us in messes like this one. Ironic that the last banking crisis also happened on a Bush watch. Oh, I guess I didn't mean 'ironic', I meant 'inevitable'.
