Spoken like a spinmeister and image polisher, not a proud parent.

These folks are out of their element, let them be. I imagine you thought it was perfectly justifiable all the terrible things they said about Palin. You seem to be of that ilk. Bitter, arrogant, elitist, snotty. You know, a liberal dem.

Poor poor lizzie, have you ever led a troop here or the PTA.
I've led a Sea Scout Ship. I have led and organized youth soccer teams. I have also led teams of engineers, small and very large teams. I have daughter, a degreed engineer, awarded a Bronze Star for her outstanding work in Iraq. My daughter was know as the Oil and Energy girl in Iraq. It is obvious to me that Ms Palen is an older and wiser and more capable person than my daughter. And no Seanator or Congressman holds a candle to either in ability to lead and quickly and make a good decision. The wisest decisions come from years of experience.
So McCain has an edge needing only the character to know what he does not know. Obama has no character and no experience.

Being a leader is all about learning fast. No one has all the answers. Leadership is about character and the ability of find those who have character and expertise to answer correctly the questions that come up.

I know with absolute certainty that anyone who believe CO2 is and will drive climate temperatures to be scientifically illiterate.
SO McCain, Biden and Obama do not have the leadership abilities to know or find scientifically literate advisers.

is or has the ability to find scientifically literate advisers.

I find that type of response to the question, refreshing. It came across as honest. I do not worry about the pedigree...I am more concerned about the capability of the person.

Should we judge a person on their actions or their accent?

I like the little I have seen of her as a person, but I will be interested in listening to her tomorrow night. I have no idea if this fast learner is any better or worse than others.

And it so happens her life history shows she has been able to handle any challenge she's taken on.

We are not talking about leading a girl scout troop here or the PTA.

That is incredibly bigoted and frankly is sexist. As if a woman isn't fit to do anything more than lead a girl scout troop or the PTA. Its amazing you have attitudes like that.

The correct response for a question like this is,

"Sarah is highly qualified for top level political offices because as Alaska governor she has engaged in high level negotiations with some of the top litigators at Exxon... she has improved the state budget by xxx... she singlehandedly solved this crisis or that crisis".

Yes, thats the correct response if you're a corporate PR person. But real people don't talk like that off the top of their head. Anyone with a knowledge of normal people realizes that.

Those people came off as dumber than Jethro Clampett.

And you come off as a bitter jealous loser, resentful that Sarah Palin is better looking, more accomplished, and can handle a career and a family.
