Are you for the taxpayer backing the loses of gamblers in Las Vegas? They got greedy and made a bad investment. Nobody held a gun to their friggen head. You wanna bail them out? It depends on what the investment was...if they were buying mortgage instruments as a foreign investor I would expect that these are almost bulletproof...the question you and those who would advocate such behavior have to answer is the 1) consequence of compromising the soundness of american credit to the overall economy and 2) what recourse do these foreign investors have to retaliate... Right now it seems to me that all these naysayers are doing is to whip up emotions at the possible expense of long term stability... Al
