I doubt she'll step aside. As Oral was just saying to me in IM, however, maybe this will ensure she is scrupulous not to appear biased.

Time will tell.

Although I consider the possibility unlikely, the prospects of Gwen Ifill being replaced or stepping aside grows as knowledge of her book conflict spreads.

Not with the debate tomorrow. Nobody else has time to prepare. But it's good that she knows she is under scrutiny. Her only defense now is to try to be scrupulously fair.

I'd assume if Ifill stepped aside, odds are she would be replaced by someone just as bad and probably worse.

Like they said, Palin should congratulate her on her Obama book and then speak to the American people, ignoring Biden and Ifill when the debate becomes two against one.
