You are presuming there will be a run on banks that cannot be handled.

I am not presuming. I know. The FDIC did not have enough money to cover WAMU deposits even after people pulled $16.7 billion from the bank in two weeks.

No person has ever lost one nickel on a federally insured deposit, even if they were over 100K.

There is always a first time. Don't presume to think you're safe just because it hasn't happened before. Why do you think people pulled so much money from WaMu in such a short period of time?

And that leads to the other part of this problem.....confidence in the American financial system is dropping very quickly.....not only in this country but in the world as well. You all have really fukked us in so many ways.
