Palin apparently wanted to remind people that her National Guard is the first line of defense at our border with Russia.

LOL.

Correct.

Yesterday CNN sent a crew to one part of Alaska on the Bering Straight where the Russian coast can be seen just a few hundred feet away. Palin apparently wanted to remind people that her National Guard is the first line of defense at our border with Russia.

That was not the Russian coast......instead it was a Russian island. And there is no National Guard on the Alaskan island.....its barely inhabited. If that's America's first line of defense against Russia, we are screwed. ;-)

Right. Just like Texas et al are the first line of defense in case Mexico invades. Or the Conchs in case Cuba does...

And apparently many of the inhabitants didn't even know who Palin was! No Alaskan governor has ever visited that island, including Palin.

They have to come across by boat? No wonder the defense budget is under water..
