"I wonder what she's really been doing the past 15 years." She was learning the ins and outs of Alaska politics. Her mistake was deciding that would translate onto the national scene. However, Alaska is unlike any other state. For one, we have several cities that have more people than the entire state. For another, they get hundreds of millions of dollars in earmarks so they can afford to give thousands of dollars to each man, woman and child who is a state resident. Last year, for example, we subsidized a $20k check to the Palin's, whose family income exceeded $100k. It really amazes me that this fact has not come out yet in the media. Here's an oil rich state giving out major bucks to its citizens while it goes hat in had to DC asking to help it build out its state. Talk about a bailout..........
