Lane,

I'd like disclosure of what kind of fat they use. Whenever I ask, the response is always "vegetable," which tells me nothing useful.

"Vegetable" oil is a very strong hint that it is bad. It is funny that McDonalds was forced to switch from using cow fat for their french fries to the following atrocity:

French Fries:
Potatoes, vegetable oil (canola oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor [wheat and milk derivatives]*), citric acid (preservative), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain color), salt. Prepared in vegetable oil ((may contain one of the following: Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness), dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent). *
CONTAINS: WHEAT AND MILK (Natural beef flavor contains hydrolyzed wheat and hydrolyzed milk as starting ingredients).

Corn oil, soybean oil and hydrogenated soybean oil are about the worst thing one can eat. And, btw, McDonald's was forced to do this by the anti-saturated fat zealots...
