Yeah, that guy is a legend! He certainly could have out fished me this weekend, fishing was extremely tough on Lake Dardanelle ABA regional championship. Sixty out of ninety-four anglers zeroed, me included, the rest just had one or two fish! I had a cracked block coming into the tournament and had to JB weld it so I could compete in my boat, well it held up the first day of practice and opened up the next morning. I put about an inch more JB weld on it the night before the tournament and got through the first day and elected to fish with another angler using his boat as boater/boater the second day so fishing from the back of the boat was an added challenge. So, we both ended up zeroing. One fish went a long way in this tournament, I think the winner had the only 5 fish limit. I'm hoping to get the block welded on Monday to get me through the rest of the season, I have two more regional championships to fish and two nationals, I'm supposed to leave for Barkley/Kentucky lakes on Wed? I'm praying the welding is successful, if it isn't I'm screwed? Right now my insurance company has denied that part of my claim, They paid $6K on the rest of the repairs but, I'm going to have to work on them, I hit a couple of stumps that caused all these problems in tournament action. I've done well on Barkley and Kentucky lake and have been looking forward to doing well there, this weekend was a real disappointment on many levels!
