I don't disagree with what you are saying at all. The problem is you see the corruption in the Republican party clearly and in fact some seem to see corruption in the Republican where there is none.(just as Republicans do the same to the dems), but you don't see the problems in the dems party. Until we realize that both parties and the system is corrupt and we make them pay, by not letting them stay, we are going to be stuck with this corrput system We have. We have good citizens who are dems and good citizens who are reps, they must join to fight corruption. Instead most on this thread seem to believe that if we can just get rid of the evil republicans all will be well. Are you in for a rude awakening. I am a conservative. for years, I contributed to the republican party, worked for it, thinking I was working for change. When the Republicans came into power, I realized they were just as bad as the dems. My god, Bush is damn near a facist. It came to me late in life, that both parties are corrupt, because the system is corrupt. We need change. I believe that it will come and probably soon, in some kind of a major political realignment. I think it is likely that in the next 20 to 50 years, we will have a multi-party system (more than 2), or that one or both of the parties will cease to exist. That is what I hope to see.
