I find a line in VIT's PRs that baffles me, "Victoria's core is transported from the drill site to the core logging/splitting area by a Company geologist." Every case of gold mining fraud I can think of was perpetrated by geologists, e.g. the Bre-X geologist that went flying out the helicopter door high above the jungle and his accomplice Felderhof presently living the high life with his stolen money in the Cayman Islands. Or, most recently John Paterson of Southwestern Resources. I'm sure you can think of many more. Telling me that a geologist drove the delivery truck does nothing to instill confidence in their data. I think there are far more important things to disclose to instill confidence in their results, e.g how was their diminution done and what is the resulting statistical confidence of the final sample they had assayed? I.e., was a Safety Curve used properly in the assay process? Etc etc... Not saying there is anything suspect about their results. I can understand geologists not knowing proper methods for resource determination but they have a mining engineer as their CEO and that's supposed to be their bread and butter. Maybe they don't think anyone reading their PRs can understand such jibberish so they dumb it down. Also of note is to see that NW-9 appears to have intersected the Helen Zone about 300 feet away from their glory hole NW-5: vitgoldcorp.com
