Win-Eldrich's Ashdown affected by molybdenum price drop

2008-11-07 10:36 ET - News Release

Mr. Perry Muller reports

The world selling price for molybdenum concentrate, which is produced from Win-Eldrich Mines Ltd.'s 40-per-cent-owned Ashdown Project LLC mine in Nevada, had dropped during the recent turmoil in the commodities markets from the range of $33 to $34 to the range of $11 to $13. As a result, Ashdown Project LLC has reduced its employment and level of operations significantly. The company and Golden Phoenix Minerals Inc., which owns 60 per cent, are currently assessing the viability of the molybdenum mining operations at Ashdown with a view to conserving cash resources.
