My niece and her family live in Galveston, in fact she was born there. They did evacuate to her mothers house in Spring. They lived over at the Yacht Basin until Ike. My nieces husband's family are an old Galveston family. They call them BOI's (born on the island) and there is a since of pride of being a BOI.

It's a great book!
