It will be interesting to see how it plays out. She hit the folksy button hard from the start when she asked Biden if she could call him "Joe". She emphasized that several times throughout the debate. Like when she proudly proclaimed she and Todd were just middle class. Which, is true. But it ignores the fact that they are right there at the top, having a family income around 4 times the average household income of Alaskans.


If I remember correctly, their combined income is $250K.....is that middle income?

I know several families in California with household incomes four times the average in the state, yet they consider themselves "middle class."

Hence the phrase I see these days, "upper middle class." Enough money to live well and buy nice stuff, but not enough to simply sit around and let your money work for you.
