Failin' Palin's folksy ways would be one thing if they disguised a towering intellect. Unfortuntely, they disguise a paltry knowledge and a total lack of intellectual curiosity. It did occur to me just how similar Palin is to Bush. She's a not too bright but Nixon-nasty weak governor of an energy rich state. She doesn't question Rove or the Bushies (not George but his Daddy and minions) and does her little puppet dance saying absolute nonsense. She has a thick accent (which apparently isn't REAL), an appeal to people who want a President who isn't any smarter than they are and an utter lack of preparedness for the most powerful job in the world. History may not repeat itself but it sure does echo.
