The biggest problem is McCain, IMO.

It's a problem but the biggest problem is the Republican performance.

Palin could have had Biden and Obama on the ropes if this pitbull with lipstick was let off the leash. Biden knew this too, I believe, which is why he was free to attack McCain, his Senate colleague of 20 years.

Your "pitbull" could have F'ed up big time, to the tune of 5% in the polls. You think Biden wasn't on a leash? As for his "attacks" they were very mild in historical perspective. More criticism than attacks... what do you expect?

Had Palin been Romney or Giuliani's running mate instead, the GOP could have stood a chance.

Probably true. But if it was, say, Romney and what's his name, the minister guy, you would be looking at a closer race.

I always said McCain was a weak candidate... and Obama is a strong candidate in many, many ways.

Took me 2 secs to decide that Biden was nothing but a - less flashy - Clinton clone.

Based on the interviews we've seen, that would have been a huge mistake...she's not very deep.

Did you notice that Biden had a big grin on his face for most of the debate? That's because she was coming off rather simple and uninformed. She was ridiculous. On a leash? She was just lucky to get through that debate without looking stupid. As it was, she didn't answer roughly 40% of the questions because she COULDN'T. Are you not embarrassed that this is the person McCain chose to succeed him should he die in office? I am.

You just like her because she's a Bible-thumper. I certainly noticed her dropping all the Evangelical code-words in her folksiness last night. We're "blessed" with her!
