I don't hate Palin. I think she is terribly underqualified to be VP or President. So do many others, conservative and liberal and mainstream. I've cited plenty of articles from like minded people. As for her use of talkling points almost exclusively last night, it has been noted by many observers. I don't consider an old axiom about the size of implant footprints for energy extraction to be anything but a talking point. Other proponents of drilling have used it heavily, among them Newt Gingrich. Did you think it was an original observation? Or the amount of energy resources in Alaska? Can you give me a different example of her use of personal insight or observation or analysis from last night?
