Obviously. I don't own the stock, but I still think that person deserves jail time. There is no right to mess with or destroy other people's property under the Constitution.

Let's keep some perspective. The story didn't "wreak havoc" with the stock - the stock was already battered and bruised and acting terribly. It traded with the same level of volatility as it had traded with before the rumor.

And by the end of the day - long after the rumor was rebuked - AAPL was right back to the "low" levels reached during the rumor.

Of course. When all else fails, blame a trading loss on "shorters" and "evildoers".
