If this new society we're talking about catches up with that place, there are places even wilder and more remote, yet easily accessible, that are perfectly capable of comfortably accommodating people who wish not to participate in the new order.

The move to remote areas will always be there. But I think the big move, going on right now, is enclaves within Urban areas with a combination of public/private governance. The rich who live there buy off the local Pols to make it work.

I, like most people, don't want to live in the boondocks.

I live in the densely populated part of Hawaii. But it's a secure building.
