HAZ \ OPAL ENERGY - Altamira Alta Fund held 2.2 million shares Dec 31/96 and as of June 30/97 increased position to 2.8 million. Do not know present position in Opal and personally don't care as Altamira has guessed wrong alot lately. Opal has six new well locations. One of two wells in the Gilby area (west central AB) is being drilled at the moment. One well in SE Alberta (Atlee) was just drilled and is standing. One well is slated for drilling on the Dulwich property in Saskatchewan. Two well locations are in a new area for Opal up in the Manning area (northwest AB) and there listed as a new pool wildcat wells. I presume they will drill these after freezeup. Hope this helps.
