Biden has had 35 years to memorize his answers.

Its called experience and a thirst for knowledge, something Palin lacks.

"Still, given that disparity, the fact that Palin, in the judgment of many, won the debate, is a fairly significant accomplishment."

By whom? Most of the polls I've seen indicate that Biden cleaned her clock.

The lies as well as her inability to craft a set of coherent sentences didn't play well.

"The fact that she beat him the debate on legitimate points (i.e., without lying)"

She lied through out the debate. For example, she lied about her role in pulling Alaska funds out of Darfur.

And that is just one of her lies.
