"Who will be guarding against the development of a socialist state"

Uh, Shrub? Or is he gonna flee to Paraguay? Only Nixon could go to China, and only Shrub could socialize America.

"It is an ambush to be asked what newspapers you read; "

Really?

How so?

"Obama was never asked that question."

No, I suppose not. But Obama shows that he is very informed on current events. Palin seems to not be aware of anything that happens outside of Alaska.

"It is an ambush to be asked about what "regulatory" positions McCain has been party to"

My God i-node, you are spinning so fast I expect you to turn into butter. She was proclaiming how McCain has been in the forefront of stricter regulation. It is natural to wonder why she has that opinion. As it turns out, she was just spitting out a talking point.

"It is an ambush to be asked about the "Bush Doctrine" which there is not even a consensus definition for. "

Going even deeper into the surreal, I see. As has been pointed out many times and with links, the one aspect of the Bush Doctrine that is most mentioned is the idea of preemptive war. Those on the right mention it, as do those on the left and the middle.

It was hardly an ambush. Just basic current events.
"Palin conducted herself well in the debate last week because the questions were fair and not gotcha journalism. "

Please. She did ok because Gwen wasn't allowed to ask follow up questions. It is with the follow up questions where she tends to start talking in tongues.

"They should have thumbed their noses at it and told them to F-off because you knew what they [the media] were after."

They were asking her legitimate questions. Questions she couldn't answer.

"If she felt she HAD to do the interviews, her responses to these questions should have been"

She has to do interviews. It is part of being a candidate. Now that McCain's campaign has announced that she won't be doing any more real interviews, I suspect she will drift into irrelevancy.

You seem to be convinced that all of the questions that Obama has fielded were all softball ones. You need to back this up. There are bunches of clips on Youtube. Find some.

"You people are gullible and naive. "

Bullshit. You are a lot more naive.

" If you have your ways we will have a president, House, Senate, and media which are all extremist liberals. "

If you have your way, they would all be controlled by right wing nutjobs. Like it was for 6 painful years.

"Who will be guarding against the development of a socialist state or worse, a leftist fascist regime coming to power?"

Common sense. With your team we are on the verge of a right wing fascist regime. And we still might get it.

Why won't McCain release his medical records?
