FF, given the limitations of human nature, disaster will eventually come no matter what.

i tend to agree that a group of folks sitting at a table making decisions will probably bring about disaster sooner.

And what about paper money, backed by nothing more than the "full faith and credit" of a government? That must go for good, if we are ever going to have a more permanent solution to our ongoing and never ending problems.
