That worked great. It probably came down from Minnesota to get away from the democrats.

A few years ago a guy in Northern Illinois shot what he thought was a record doe. Turned out to be a cow elk. The DNR gave him a new deer tag and let him keep the elk as there are no laws against shooting elk in Illinois. They figured it probably came in when it was young with a load of calves from out West.

I've seen cinnamon teal that don't come east of the Rockies, a stiff tail from the Eastern Shore and an Eurasian widgen while duck hunting. Oddest was the 15 and 18 foot long snakes at a local truck stop. No idea how they got here.
