FF, i think you underestimate freed.

the boomers are nearing retirement. the boomers don't want to pay $1500/mo for health care, only to be denied should a BIG issue ever hit.

it was the boomers who didn't want socialized medicine when they'd have to foot the bill, it will be the boomers who force socialized medicine on others so they don't have to pay.

aren't the boomers nearing retirement?

isn't democracy grand?

Wayne, nah, it's racism, pure and simple. A lot of Americans admit being racist, but they are already Republicans and not going to vote for a Democrat. But a lot are back door racists and they like minorities as long as they don't have any power. That is the only reason Obama is not ahead by twenty points. He may lose because of it.

I didn't make this clear in my last note. You don't have to be a racist to prefer McCain. I'm just saying that racism is the only thing keeping McCain close. Or, should I say, "cultural concerns?"
