Ewww.....that's a drag. We were looking for signs of a concussion and they just weren't there. It's not that it can't happen but more times than not the kids will freak out a little after they lay a big hit on someone. It's not the NFL so these little guys aren't used to massive helmet shots that make big noise. Jr.'s eyes were huge when he came over and I started to chuckle because I knew he had just "seen the light." It was the first time I've seen him come out of a game so I knew it hurt but I didn't want to coddle him. His mom came over and talked with him for a minute but I whispered in her ear that she isn't going to be able to come out of the stands when he gets hurt when he's older so she should kind of lay back and let us fix it (she was totally fine with that - she trusts me implicitly). We got him back in for the last 2 minutes of the game because we needed to get him back on the horse. We can't have him playing scared next week so he needed to get in and shake it off. He'll never admit it but I think he scared himself LOL!!
