Undoubtedly, there is some safe haven buying here. However, my upside target for the Dollar Index on this corrective move was 81.50 and it got mighty close to that overnight:

There are amazing bargains available in Gold Mining land, but most investors/traders are gloomy. In March, when the Miners were tremendously overvalued, all I heard was how the POG was headed to $1200 short term.

Central Bankers will soon lower rates frequently, in order to combat recession fears and rising unemployment. This concerted rate cutting will be powerfully stimulative to the gold market.
