You are talking about the superiority of the low carb diet. I think that nobody serious in the filed could possible recommend a low fat high carb diet.

The studies I want to see would be comparing three groups. Standard medical therapy. Dr. Davis's regimen. A combination of both.

A placebo or nil therapy arm is not warranted IMO because (believe it or not) standard medical therapy has lot of evidence showing it is superior to no therapy at all.

I wonder if Dr. Davis has attempted to publish in the medical journals (even as a letter to the editor) any case studies or non-randomized data. If he could show his results are better than those of previously published studies, that should create some attention.
