Not for us, our mortgage is down at 130k with our current home trading value of 600k+. We were refused a 50k loan by BofA 2 years ago - for being a shaky credit I guess. At a credit rating of 790 (me) and 810 (my wife). Because of too low domestic income.

Interesting, isn't it?

And I'm being offered a grey upgrade of my gold Amexco all the time.
Since I have a black version of the same I don't really need it though.

John, now I feel stupid for refinancing. My original home mortgage was with Countrywide, and it was a 5-year interest-only ARM.

Imagine if I hadn't done the responsible thing. I could have been a part of this "bailout" ...

Countrywide mortgage pact may be worth $3.5 billion to California loan holders

Saw that. You probably wouldn't qualify.
