GZ---You've always been my hero(really) but what would be the catalyst for a change in the long term trend. 800 pts in mid term very possible, but what would turn this bear mkt around? I believe that this mkt has been manipulated for a long time. I think its grown too many tentacels for them to be able to control them all now.

Wat da chpiral says? I think it sez da rally cud be good
fur 300 spooz points or so, if we R lucky. -g-

Dere are 2 sides to dese markets.

Here is da bad side:

Derivative Ponzi scheme is blowing, and has da potential to
blow up da system. In a sense those are insurance contracts,
thou.

Here is da good side:

700 billion bailout taking crap off da banks balance sheets
has da potential to fix da system. It is probably wat blew up.
Subprime rate resets will subside starting October, so da
whole reason for da mess is going away.

Here is da bad side again:

Da crap's expensive. Taking all zad on da Treasury will
require some major financin' from da treasury. Who's gonna
buy dese? Risk is present fur da currency and da T-bondz,
and stuff will hit da fan in a currency run way if nobody
is lined up for those

Here is da good side again:

China already lined up for the new T-bond issue, CBs are
cooperating, coz nobody wants a dollar run

Here is da bad side again:

We will get more inflation in da World if dey all line up
and buy up dese bondz.

Ugh, my head is spinnin'
