Like his Muslim roommates. There is no evidence that they were/are Muslim other than they have "funny" names and came from a part of the world where there is a non-zero chance of them being Muslim. For one, that non-zero chance is pretty low, he is more likely to be Hindu.

Yes, the one may be. And some were apparently Americans. But several were Pakistanis, and there has been no denial that they are Muslims (by either them or the campaign) and you will agree they are highly likely to have been Muslims -- probably a higher than 95% chance.

Why doesn't Obama just allow Harvard to disclose his records? This would put the entire issue to bed and there is precedent for it.

He has claimed his Harvard education was funded by school loans, yet he conveniently omitted disclosure of those loans on his financial disclosure form. A big deal, if the liberal media were willing to look at it.

Could this be proven, beyond the shadow of doubt, as in a criminal trial? Not with what we know today (however, in a criminal trial there is an investigation; there has been no investigation of Obama to date).

That said, the standard of proof for a criminal trial is far higher than that which should be applied to a presidential candidate. Far more is at stake by installing an anti-American president (which the proof is pretty iron clad on) than simply by letting a guilty man go free.
