I did not say the Pygmalion effect is witchcraft or that the Hawthorn effect is witchcraft. Both have been demonstrated repeatedly and without doubt to be real and reasonable explanations for how context and consequence are related. I provided you with a context (spell casting) and consequences to human beings that can be explained reasonably according to these scientific constructs. The explanation is reasonable, and certainly more demonstrable than your mystical beliefs in aliens.

"Belief in witchcraft is not reasonable....On the hand neither is belief in Christianity...."

Only in the minds of the ignorant who refuse to engage reason. I've demonstrated reason to consider these institutions with some seriousness. There is, however, a great deal of reason and centuries of scholarly analysis which you're obviously afraid to broach with any treatment beyond back ally jesting. I'm not surprised, I expected no more from you.

The destruction of decency has always been a venue of entertainment, from the persecution of holy men to mocking the poor little 'goody two shoes' of the play ground.

Such humor is entertaining in the same sense as seeing the strong man brought to his knees is a comfort to the weakling. It is humorous in the same sense that danger is averted when an effective force slips on a banana peel. Moderate and gracious people may be driven to excessive behavior even psychosis when challenges appear unreasonably overwhelming, but justify it in the spirit of amiable banter.

Indefensible corruption is the arch enemy of human principle and disrespectful of reason. That's why it's easier to say, you're just joking, or you can dismiss serious topics like world religion out of hand.

What you're actually saying is belief is not reasonable and in your case most probably true.
