Closing the markets is just the last admission that all confidence is gone in the financial system. It doesn't solve anything fundamental.

your prior post was spot on, selling is orderly so no reason to shut down the markets. when selling gets disorderly trading curbs will kick in.

DOW should be worth 5000 based on the current state of the credit markets.
