You should not use the reset or on/off button if you can help it.
Win95 can do some rather ugly things to you if you do.
You should use the shutdown buttons under the START icon.
If you do have to power it on/off any other way you should also
run scandisk to help clean things up.

Typically files will be left hanging and your registry may not
get correctly updated if you use hardware on/off or reset to
reboot your computer.

No, crashing while getting off the internet shouldn't happen.
Do you click FILE and then EXIT?
I use Navigator 3 for a browser and every couple of hours or
so get a message (a Windows 95 message, I think) that ' this
program has done something illegal and will be shut down'.
Then I just restart Navigator.
Have you tried to find a news group where you can post your
problem? You can search for one at dejanews.com
I got an answer to a printer problem this way once.
