Obama won't mess with the system. He'll just make everything bad about it worse.

I don't think McCain is an empty suit. He's a far cry better than Obama. I also don't think Palin is any less qualified than Obama.

What I don't like about McCain is his willingness to pander to Democrats. I am not convinced that people want bi-partisanship. I think they want gridlock<g> Many areas in which Bush went wrong occurred precisely because he played nice with the Democrats.

My "sucker" comment has to do with the notion that because voting in a black or a woman would be cool, that's all that goes into the equation. Those characteristics are hardly a reason to vote for or against anyone. The Dems are counting on people to vote for Obama BECAUSE he is black.

I think McCain felt he needed to shake things up (which he actually did.)

I also think he really wanted to pick Lieberman, which would have been a mistake. Palin was the second "shake up" choice.
Her selection made sense because of the way Hillary was treated
by the Dem hierarchy and their handservants in the MSM. Sure it was cynical, but who cares?

As I said, I am not voting based on the Veep. Few people actually do.
