Mike, I have a idea whose time has probably already past but it seems like IBM could weaken the Wintel monpoly by producing a super low cost PC . They have Cyrix chips,OS 2 . No payments to Wintel. I guess it would not help IBM directly except that it might weaken Wintel. If IBM did enough volume maybe OS2 could become viable in time. I know the battle for the desktop is lost but I would be interested to hear what the critics think of this idea. Mike
