Re: Everyone I know has stopped spending. Many are taking cash out of banks, buying guns and food. This is a lot worse than they are letting on. I bought a new washer and dryer last weekend, they'll be delivered next week. The Samsungs with "silver care" (which, the more I researched it, the better it looked) appear to be the best out there. The new electrolux looked interesting, due to its sheer size, but I don't trust the door latch on the washer. With the stands, the new units should be easier on my wife's back when moving clothes from washer to dryer. Sales are down, significantly, but they haven't stopped.
