i must note that the weekends have been full of drama lately

much better than spectator sports, on tv or live, because we are not spectating, but are direct participants.

the leading role players, as in all good movies, will likely either thrive or die at the end of the show

the rest of us extras, with few exceptions, will ... well, i best not spoil the plot :0)
