They found an investor willing to pony up major bucks for them. Don't you think that both AMD and that investor would be quite careful to craft something they thought would work as opposed to something that would implode? i think the claim is that amd, being the criminals they're, lied to the investors and hid the facts from them to steal their money.

AMD is in a desperate situation so they might do anything. As for Abu Dhabi, I can't begin to explain their rational. Nothing has happened here to make AMD designs more competitive, their process more competitive or their products cheaper to produce. The only thing they gain is time to position themselves against Via.
