A nationalized residential mortgage industry might be better than the residential mortgage industry we have now.

However, a debate does not seem like the most opportune time to introduce such an unorthodox idea.

McCain lost the debate the moment he brought up the idea of government buying up mortgages to shore up home values.

I started screaming obscenities at the tv, grabbed a drink and marched to the library to read the entire time screaming obscenities. I'll spare you the actual lingo but the result was basically McCain can FOAD and Obama can win in a landslide now for all I care. If we are going to kill the free market we might just as well put the true socialist in power.
