Socialism? So what? Lets look at health care.

Everyone yaps that Obama will "socialize health care". Well, at this moment half of Americans - government employees, military, medicare, etc are covered by some form of government paid health care. That's socialism in my book.

A quarter are uninsured. That leaves me and the rest of the quarter who are paying through the nose for their private health insurance AND paying for the gold plated insurance government employees and others get.

I don't give a hoot what you call it. Neither McCain nor anyone else is going to take the government out of the health care business, so you might as well let us 25% who are paying the freight ride up front and be able to get the kind of insurance my congressman and the welfare bum gets.

Is it socialism? Call it what you want, but the current system is broken and it's killing our economy - and McCain's blather doesn't make sense... He wouldn't even qualify for his own proposed "private insurance" ...
